A little insight to the Mainline Bar & Grill.
A couple years ago, my wife and I were riding my motorcycle, when I took of shot of lightning to the cheekbone. It came out my right knee. Needless to say we crashed the bike. My wife was a little banged up but is mostly ok. She has been pretty fearful of a lot of things since then, and has done an awesome job of overcoming her fears to get this far. I on the other hand, went out like a light and some 3 or 4 days later when I woke up, I discovered that I had lost all my fears of bad stuff happening to me. After I healed up a bit, I decided to make a list of all the things I’ve always wanted to do…and do them, and to take some chances in life, just in case I’m smighted again for some reason.
We always wanted to be in business for ourselves‘ and have worked in bars and used to play in bands. So we decided to build a bar, a fun one. One that would serve the best food we could make from a short order menu. One that we could have bands in, with room for expansion, just in case we got lucky and had some people coming through the door. We bought an old potato warehouse in Downer MN. which was formerly known as the “Mainline Potato Co.” and turned it into a real cool place to hang out and we call it the “Mainline Bar & Grill” and it just so happened that we did get lucky, and have a lot of people coming through the door. So we have expanded into the other half of the warehouse. So we can have more fun and bigger bands and weddings and…stuff!! We call that the Mainline Event Center. We hope everyone has a bunch of fun with us!!
